Simon Herd (ExperienceLab- UK)
Lexis Nexis creating product opportunities through UX (tbc)
In the United Kingdom the importance of the user experience has been increasingly recognised within organisations. This has resulted in a progressive shift from just focusing on usability testing screen flows at the end of the project lifecycle towards making a more fundamental impact upon project plans and priorities earlier on. Simon Herd from ExperienceLab in London will be presenting an example of how Lexis Nexis, a leading international provider of legal, news and business intelligence made this shift with a one of
its products.
The session will cover how research was planned and conducted in the workplace to understand user needs, how the outcomes of this research were analysed and consolidated into a form readily
understandable by a range of roles within the company and how workshops were used to identify product opportunities to feed into development plans for the following year.
